A selective method for preconcentration of palladium (II) from sulfuric acid solution using α-
benzilmonoxime-molten benzophenone has been described. Palladium can be extracted
quantitatively into molten benzophenone and determined spectrophotometrically at λmax=
434 nm. Optimization of variables such as ligand concentration, acid type and its
concentration, shaking time and the others were performed. Under selected conditions
