An ion-selective electrode (ISE) for the potentiometric determination of Pb (II) in aqueous
medium is demonstrated. The coated-wire (CW) electrode exhibits linear response to Pb (II)
over a wide concentration range (5.0× 10− 6 to 0.10 M) with Nernstian slope of 29.4±0.6 mV
per decade. The sensor is based on a dispersion of N, N′-bis (5-methyl salicylidene)-p-
diphenylene methane diamine particles into a polymeric membrane using CW configuration.
