ABSTRACT In this study, principal component artificial neural network (PC-ANN) is
proposed for the simultaneous determination of Os (VIII) and Ru (IV) on the basis of their
catalytic effects on the indicator reaction between Ce (IV) and As (III). The differential
equations involving negative synergistic effects were solved numerically by the PC-ANN.
The PC-ANN architectures were different for Os (VIII) and Ru (IV). The output of Os PC-ANN
